Granted, my father is a very loving father. Talk about, fathers should go to the PTA meetings, I can’t relate because my mum never attended one in my school.
Despite that, my dad is a strict disciplinarian who spare no rod and spoilt not. We all thought when we grow up we won’t be like him not knowing he has our very best at heart. What I am driving at? If you are not yet a parent, you know not a thing about parenting. Take this from me, Marriage is far easy to do that parenting.
You thought your father is unfriendly when he always stay aloof after work and whereas he is thinking how the rent will be paid.
You thought your mother is too strict for constantly warning about being distracted by boys whereas she just want the best for you.
Most of our parents want the very best for us (though they at times go overboard) but most of them deeply loved me.
And you wouldn’t understand why and how they are behaving like that until you have yours.
That’s why I’m not praying again not to become like my dad, my prayer is to do more better than him for my own kids by God’s grace only.
May God help me.

October Challenge Day 14 – Parenting Is Not A Joke

October Challenge Day 13 – What’s something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail.
One thing I will gladly attempt to do if no guarantee no failure is hopping into the spacecraft and travel to the outer space.
A day in the international space station (ISS) will be a life time achievement.

ISS Why? I love Space, space travel and it’s adventures. It fascinating and daring.

October Challenge Day 12 – What’s a topic or issue about which you’ve changed your mind?
Welcome to day 12 of #OctoberChallenge. Today’s topic is a hmmmmm!
Do not judge anything before its time
To start with, nowadays, before I condemned a particular thing, system or person, I will first of all, ask myself, ‘is this thing truly bad or is it because I can afford it.’
A topic or issue about which I’ve changed your mind about is Marriage.
Dearly beloved, to talk about marriage is easy but to do the Marriage is the main thing.
There are many thing I believed as single, that I no longer believed in now.
For example, I thought pregnancy was easy as single, but now I will gladly advocate for 9-months maternity leave for nursing mothers.
Furthermore, my disposition towards house chores as single is not that encouraging but in marriage, I see that house chores is a full-time job
I repeat, Courtship and Marriage are two different thing. The latter makes you feel good, the former is serious work of love, responsibilities and commitment.
As a result of this, I don’t criticize people, system, because I don’t always have the full story.
I concluded with this Bible quote, do not judge anything before it’s time.
Have a nice day.

October Challenge Day 9 – What could you do more of?
Today topic had me in thinking mode because this year had me relaxing on many of my resolutions especially when it comes to content creation.
Seriously, what relaxed me is words of discouragement from those I think should know and procrastination. 😒😡😡😡😡
More of content creation
I am just trying to get my energy, zeal and passion back and I could do more of engaging content creation.
I could do more of Writing and Blogging.
More of video recordings. More of book reading.
I could do more of finishing my 3 proposed ebook and aggressively market them.
More time and practice could be dedicated to being bold and standing my ground on what I believed is right.
I could do more than I am doing now.,😒😒😒.
What could you have done more or done better?

October Challenge Day 8 – What aspects of your cultural heritage are you most proud of or interested in?
By tribe, I am a Yoruba from Southwest Nigeria. We are one of the major tribes in Nigeria.
The first culture heritage I am always most proud of is the our culture of Respect and Greetings.
In my culture, young ones don’t called or refer to elderly ones by names. You must affixed the name of the elderly person with appropriate titles like Baba (Daddy), Mama (mum), Auntie so so so and so (if you see most Yoruba referring to someone as their auntie, most times such person is their sibling sister😄😄), broda lagbaja, oba (king) etc.
And we used plural pronoun to refer to eldery person. Instead of o, we used e or won.
In addition, we believe everyone deserves respect – the young and the old, that’s why, we have a proverb that says, ‘òwò díèdíè lará ñfè (everyone deserves little respect) but some people deserve perpetual Respect notably your parents and your king.
Furthermore, we, the boys greet by prostrating and our girls do so by kneeling. Yoruba greatly tied greeting to respect.

Girl kneeling and the boy prostrating for their mother We also have greetings for everything. For example, when Nigerian government removed subsidy, we started greeting ourselves, e ku aisi subsidy yii, meaning congratulations on this no subsidy regime ooo 😁😄😅
The second cultural heritage I am most proud of is our food specifically Amala and Gbegiri plus ewedu. You can’t beat the flavour.

If you need one made for you, DM +2347032338012.
Lastly, take the mic and tell us what aspects of your cultural heritage are you most proud of or interested in?

October Challenge Day 7 – Three jobs I’d consider pursuing full time if money didn’t matter.
Without wasting time or without much Ado. Here are three jobs I’d consider doing full time even if money is not involved.
Number one is full-time teaching – any time any day. Why? Firstly, the act of transferring knowledge from the one that knows much to the one that knows less is both amazing and fulfilling. Amazing and fulfilling in the sense that you are probably raising the next generations of teachers who will teach your kids.
Secondly, you are sort of a celebrity because if it money, I doubt if you will find it in teaching but you will be quite known, be fulfilled and joyful.
The second career I might consider pursuing full time is Marriage/Relationship Counseling .
I love marriages especially happy ones and teaching people about what a Christian marriage, a tearless courtship, responsible relationships and convenanted friendships is all about is a subject I am keen about and this is more of what this blog is all about.
Happy Marriages give happy vibes, responsible offsprings and a better society.
The third job I might consider pursuing is Writing/Blogging/Social Media Influencing/ YouTubing because the ideas of capturing your thoughts down excellently and share it to various social media platforms are both noble.
Noble in the sense that writing promotes, energies, corrects and heals.
Thank you for being here reading this.
Now on the money part, I’m going to do all these or rather I am doing them now when money is not even heavily involved but we all work for money l, don’t we?
Finally, I want to hear from you, what are the three jobs you’d consider pursuing full time if money didn’t matter?

October Challenge Day 6 – Your life without a smartphone: what does it look like?
Here I am again. Day 6 of #OctoberChallenge and it is a question – Your life without a smartphone: what does it look like?
My life was probably ‘on halt’ when I lost my phone.
I can’t transfer money.
I can’t call anyone.
I don’t know anything going on in the country or even in my small town.No song, no video. Everything. Blank
99% of my day-to-day life was technically grounded.

But there are some benefits to staying offline for some time, part of it is a purified mind.
Now, If I was to ask you, ‘can you live for some weeks without your smartphone,’ you will probably replied in the negative.
But I want to tell you that though it won’t be easy but you will survive without it.
You will survive without your smartphones and social media apps and I am advising you to try it. Doing so will tell you that there is a life separate and different from online life.
Have you live for a week without your smartphone for a week? How was your experiences? Any advantage or disadvantage? Share in the comment section.

October Challenge Day 5 – Meet My Mathematics Teacher
Today is #WorldTeachersDay and I want you to meet my wonderful teacher on day 5 of #OctoberChallenge.
While I was taking my students, Economics, a couple of week ago, treating Basic Tools for Economic Analysis II which involves some mathematical expressions, my mind flashed back to how poor I was in Mathematics during my secondary school days and marvelled at how I was able to excellently teach these students. I then realized a Maths teacher planted the seed many years ago.
Confusingly, my problem with Maths is that if our teacher used 2x+y = 4 as an example in the class and he gave us the same question either as an assignment, class or exam, I will get it but let him change his question to 2x + 6y = 0, wahala ti de niyen*
Nevertheless, I am attentive in class getting my zero in peace 😄. In fact, my phobia for Mathematics was one of the reasons I opted for Agricultural Economics over civil engineering when filling for UTME.

Furthermore, with the little knowledge gotten from the seed planted by Dr. Idowu Akinola, I passed my MTH 101 & 102 with Cs, tackled some economics problem on in AEC courses, survived COVID-19 shutdown minimally (story for another day) and taught my students brilliantly.
Thank you sir, for preparing me ahead and the seed planted though I still fear the subject but I can do many major mathematical works now.
In addition, no knowledge is a waste. If it’s not useful today, it will definitely be useful one day.
Lastly wishing my good self and all my past and present teachers, a fantastic #worldteachersday.
Do you remember any of your teacher? If so, let hear your story.
