Now, let’s dig into the issue of most controversial word in marriage, Submission. This is a 3-part articles and this part 1 is directed to married women and single ladies.
One of the anti-God teaching gaining ground now which invariably is anti-marriage is teaching of earned submission.
As in a man must do something to earn submission from his wife.
One, the teaching is inconsistent with Bible. Biblical submission is not earned, force or demanded for. It must be freely given by the wife. Note the word Must.
If you marry godless man, you will have to submit to his godless decisions
Why? Because God commanded.
That’s why you must do everything godly possible to marry a godly man so that submission can be easily done by you.
If you marry an unkind man, you must submit to his unkind decisions.
If he is idiot. You must submit to his idiotic leadership.
If you marry godless man, you will have to submit to his godless decisions.
The only time you can jettison his idiotic, ungodly and unkind decisions is when they are in clear violation of the scripture.
As a reminder, marry who make submission easy for you to give.
